Honey Bees at the Bird Bath

Some perks of putting a bird bath out there in this scorching heat. It’s 44 degrees here in Delhi right now. And I see quite a lot of them flying in to quench their thirst. At first it seemed like a mass suicidal attempt. On second thoughts it looked like a commando training camp. After a well-deserved knock on my head, the rusting brain realized that they were drinking water.

  1. Heh heh! Great imagination! And, it’s such a beautiful deed! Even I’ve kept a small birdbath in my little garden. No bees though, thankfully! Sort of scared of those commandos! πŸ˜€

      • Same here. Considering that I really live near a jungle and river, my kids bring all kind of creatures in my home. We have had a bat, squirrel, mongoose, pigeons which are hurt.

As I’m already burnt of heartbreak, I don’t allow them to pet those mute beauties. We are a lodge for them. They pay for the room service by little bits of happiness. πŸ™‚
